Booderee National Park, on the south coast of New South Wales, is a stunning Aboriginal-owned park where turquoise waters meet white-sand beaches, ancient forests, and dramatic sea cliffs. Managed jointly by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community and Parks Australia, it offers a rare blend of pristine nature and deep Indigenous culture — a must for anyone driving the NSW coast.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors find a full day sufficient to hit the highlights — arrive early to secure a spot at Murrays Beach, then explore the botanic gardens and a second beach like Cave or Steamers. If you can, stay overnight in nearby Jervis Bay or Huskisson to add a sunset kayak or dolphin cruise. Those with two days can incorporate longer coastal walks, such as the 5.5 km track from Murrays Beach to Governor Head.
