Ulladulla is a classic South Coast beach town where a working fishing harbour meets family-friendly beaches and a laid-back seaside vibe. Its name means 'safe harbour' in the local Aboriginal language, and that sense of shelter and ease still defines the place. The town makes an ideal stop on a Sydney-to-Melbourne road trip or a base for exploring the southern beaches and national parks.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Two to three days is ideal. Spend your first day exploring the harbour and beaches; dedicate the second to a walk in the wildflower reserve and a visit to Milton. If you have a third day, consider a boat tour or a drive to nearby Pigeon House Mountain for a challenging hike with rewarding views. The town is compact, so you can easily pace yourself with a relaxed lunch at a harbourside cafe.
