Evans Lookout

Perched on the edge of the Grose Valley in the Blue Mountains, Evans Lookout delivers one of the region’s most jaw-dropping panoramas. From this clifftop platform, you gaze across a vast chasm of eucalyptus forest, sandstone cliffs, and the distant hazy blue ridges that give the mountains their name. It’s a classic photo stop and the starting point for some of the area’s best bushwalks, including the Grand Canyon Track. The lookout is easily accessible, making it a perfect quick detour or a gateway to a longer adventure.

• Birdwatching and wildflowers: Keep an eye out for lyrebirds, cockatoos, and rosellas. Spring brings a burst of wildflowers, including waratahs and boronia.
