Raglan is a laid-back coastal town on New South Wales' far north coast, where the lush green hills of the hinterland meet the Tasman Sea. Known for its world-class surf breaks, particularly the legendary right-hand point break at The Pass, Raglan has a bohemian vibe that attracts surfers, artists, and nature lovers. The town itself is small but charming, with a handful of cafés, galleries, and a thriving community garden. The surrounding area is rich in Indigenous Bundjalung culture and offers some of the most pristine beaches and national parks in the region.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Raglan itself can be enjoyed in a day or two, but to truly soak up the vibe and explore the surrounding national parks and hinterland, plan for at least three to four days. This allows time for a sunrise hike at Mount Warning, a day exploring Nightcap National Park, and a relaxed day at the beach or surfing. If you're combining it with Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, a week-long itinerary is ideal for a self-drive trip along the coast.
