Eugowra is a tiny, friendly town in the Central West of New South Wales, best known as the site of the famous bushranger Ben Hall's last stand. Surrounded by rolling farmland and the Lachlan River, it offers a genuine slice of rural Australian history and a warm welcome to travellers exploring the backroads between the Blue Mountains and the outback.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Eugowra is a quick stop – plan for 1–2 hours to see the historic sites and stretch your legs. If you're interested in bushranger history, you could easily spend half a day here, especially if you combine the museum, the death site, and a walk along the river. Most travellers use it as a brief detour on a longer road trip.
