Ebor

Perched on the edge of the New England Plateau, Ebor is a tiny, character-filled village that punches well above its weight for scenery and serenity. The air is crisp, the pace is slow, and the main draw is Ebor Falls, a stunning two-tier cascade that plunges into a deep, ancient gorge. For travellers on a self-drive itinerary between the coast and the Northern Tablelands, Ebor makes a perfect pit stop for a picnic, a short walk, and a deep breath of eucalyptus-scented air.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Ebor is a stopover rather than a destination, and most visitors spend 1–2 hours here. That's enough time to admire the falls from both lookouts, stretch your legs on a short walk, and grab a bite at the pub. If you're keen to explore the national park trails or do some trout fishing, plan for a half-day. It works beautifully as a lunch break on the drive between Dorrigo and Armidale.
