While the name might suggest a single property, the Ayers Rock Resort is the entire accommodation and hospitality hub for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Located in the town of Yulara, this purpose-built oasis offers a range of lodgings from campgrounds to luxury hotels, along with restaurants, galleries, and a central square. It's your basecamp for exploring the monumental red centre.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most travellers base themselves here for 2–3 nights to fully experience Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and the cultural sites. Arrive early on day one to catch a sunset, dedicate a full day to the national park (including the Base Walk and Kata Tjuta), and use the final morning for the Field of Light or a helicopter flight. The resort itself can be explored in an hour or two, but its amenities are best enjoyed as a relaxing evening retreat after long days out.
