Here, you'll find ancient Aboriginal rock art, fascinating mining heritage, and wide-open landscapes that feel truly remote.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most travellers pass through Tennant Creek in a day or two, but to truly appreciate its stories and nearby natural wonders, allow at least two nights. Spend the first day exploring the town's cultural and mining sites, then head south to the Devil's Marbles for sunset. If you're self-driving, it's a perfect break between Alice Springs (500 km south) and Katherine (700 km north).
