The full Port Stephens Coastal Walk stretches about 27 kilometres from Shoal Bay to Fingal Bay, and most walkers take two days to complete it at a comfortable pace. You can easily break it into shorter sections: the northern section from Shoal Bay to Fingal Bay takes around 4–5 hours, while the southern section from Fingal Bay to Birubi Beach takes about 3–4 hours. If you're short on time, the highlight is the Tomaree Head Summit loop (1–2 hours) combined with a stroll along Fingal Bay. Plan an overnight stay in Port Stephens to fully appreciate the walk and its surroundings.
