The full Port Stephens Coastal Walk stretches about 27 kilometres from Shoal Bay to Fingal Bay, and most walkers take two days to complete it at a comfortable pace. You can easily break it into shorter sections: the northern section from Shoal Bay to Fingal Bay takes around 4–5 hours, while the southern section from Fingal Bay to Birubi Beach takes about 3–4 hours.
