Audley is a peaceful village nestled within the lush, forested landscape of the Royal National Park, just a short drive south of Sydney. This historic settlement, established in the 1880s, offers a serene escape into nature, with its iconic wooden weir, tranquil Hacking River, and a charming tea house that feels frozen in time. It's the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon of canoeing, bushwalking, and picnicking, away from the city's hustle.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Audley is best enjoyed as a half-day or full-day trip. Arrive early to secure a picnic spot or boat rental (the boat shed opens at 9 am). Spend 2–3 hours on the water, then enjoy lunch at the tea rooms or a riverside barbecue. If you plan to walk part of Lady Carrington Drive, allow another 1–2 hours. For a full day, combine with a swim at Wattamolla or a coastal walk at Bundeena.
