Sea Acres National Park

Sea Acres National Park is a lush coastal rainforest sanctuary on the edge of Port Macquarie, offering a serene escape into ancient Gondwana vegetation. The park's centrepiece is a 1.3-kilometre elevated boardwalk that winds through a stunning remnant of littoral rainforest, where towering trees, palms, and epiphytes create a cathedral-like canopy. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and the calls of bellbirds and whipbirds. This is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with Australia's botanical heritage.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Plan for at least 1.5 to 2 hours to fully appreciate the boardwalk and the Rainforest Centre. If you join a guided night walk, add another 2 hours. The park is compact, so it's easy to combine with a morning at the beach or a lunch in Port Macquarie. For a relaxed pace, allow half a day to include the café and a stroll on Shelly Beach.
