Sea Acres National Park
Sea Acres National Park is a lush coastal rainforest sanctuary on the edge of Port Macquarie, offering a serene escape into ancient Gondwana vegetation. The park's centrepiece is a 1.3-kilometre elevated boardwalk that winds through a stunning remnant of littoral rainforest, where towering trees, palms, and epiphytes create a cathedral-like canopy. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and the calls of bellbirds and whipbirds. This is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with Australia's botanical heritage.
Highlights & What to See
- Rainforest Boardwalk: An accessible, wheelchair-friendly boardwalk that loops through the rainforest, offering interpretive signs and glimpses of rare plants like the giant stinging tree and the Port Macquarie palm.

- Guided Night Walks: Join a ranger-led tour after dark to spot possums, gliders, frogs, and the elusive tawny frogmouth – a magical way to experience the forest's nocturnal life.
