Coastal Walk

Stretching along the stunning coastline between Town Beach and Lighthouse Beach, Port Macquarie’s Coastal Walk is a showstopper of a seaside stroll. With the Pacific Ocean on one side and coastal heath on the other, this 9 km return trail delivers constant ocean views, lookout points, and a chance to spot dolphins and whales (May–November). The path is well-formed and mostly flat, making it accessible for walkers of all fitness levels.

If you’re short on time, you can walk the most scenic section (from Town Beach to Tacking Point Lighthouse) in about 1 hour one way. Many visitors combine the walk with a morning coffee at a beachfront café in town, then tackle the trail before the midday heat.
