This 485-metre summit, part of the Bago Bluff National Park, offers a challenging but achievable walk through ancient rainforest and eucalypt forest, ending at a lookout that feels like the top of the world. It’s a must-do for active travellers seeking a dose of nature and a sense of wilderness within easy reach of the coast.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allocate a half-day (4–5 hours) for the return hike, including time to soak in the views at the top. The walk is steep and can be muddy after rain, so sturdy shoes and plenty of water are essential. Combine with a morning or afternoon exploring nearby Laurieton or a beachside lunch at Dunbogan for a full day out.
