Stretching along the far north coast of New South Wales, Bundjalung National Park is a wild and wonderful expanse of coastal heath, rainforest pockets, and pristine beaches. Named after the traditional custodians, the Bundjalung people, this park offers a genuine escape into nature, where you can swim in crystal-clear creeks, spot kangaroos at sunrise, and feel the ancient pulse of the land. It’s a must for travellers seeking solitude and raw coastal beauty.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Spend at least half a day to explore the park’s highlights, but a full day is ideal to soak in the atmosphere. Start with a morning walk on the Iluka Bluff, then head to Gummi Garra Creek for a swim and lunch. In the afternoon, explore the rainforest walk and finish with sunset at Black Rocks. If you’re camping, two nights allows for a relaxed pace and time to explore nearby Iluka Nature Reserve.
