Steavenson Falls is a breathtaking 84-metre waterfall near Marysville, one of Victoria's most spectacular cascades. Fed by the Steavenson River, the falls plunge over a granite escarpment into a fern-lined gorge, creating a misty, magical atmosphere. The site is easily accessible via a short walk through towering mountain ash forests, making it a perfect stop for nature lovers and photographers.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allow 1–2 hours to fully appreciate the falls and walk. Combine with a morning or afternoon exploring Marysville – grab a coffee and browse local art. If you're self-driving from Melbourne (about 1.5 hours), Steavenson Falls makes an excellent half-day detour or part of a longer Yarra Valley or Lake Mountain itinerary.
