Seal Rocks is a sleepy coastal hamlet on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, where the bush meets the sea in a dramatic tangle of headlands, white-sand beaches, and rocky islands. This is a place for those who crave solitude, raw nature, and the kind of wild, untamed coastline that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret. The village itself is little more than a scattering of holiday shacks and a general store, but the real draw is the surrounding Myall Lakes National Park and the crystal-clear waters that lap at its shores.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Seal Rocks is best enjoyed as a slow-paced escape. Most visitors stay for two to three nights to fully unwind and explore the area. A day trip is possible from nearby towns like Forster or Hawks Nest, but you'll miss the magic of a sunrise walk on the beach or a sunset drink at the lighthouse. If you're self-driving, base yourself here for a couple of days and use it as a launching pad to explore the Myall Lakes region.
