Wollombi Valley is a serene, unspoiled pocket of the Hunter Region that feels a world away from the better-known wine country. This narrow, green valley is cradled by sandstone escarpments and dotted with historic villages, meandering creeks, and a handful of boutique wineries. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and soak up genuine country character without the crowds.
Highlights & What to See
- Wollombi Village – A charming historic settlement with a general store, the famous Dr. Jurd's Jungle Juice (a potent local brew), and the Wollombi Museum housed in a former church.
