Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Two to three days is ideal to explore Tumut and its surrounds. Spend the first day on the river walk and in town, then dedicate a full day to Kosciuszko National Park — driving the Alpine Way or hiking to a waterfall. A third day allows for a trip to Blowering Dam or a detour to the Batlow orchards. If you’re self-driving, Tumut makes a great overnight stop between Sydney and the Snowy Mountains.
