Plunging 84 metres through a sheer basalt cliff, Steavenson Falls is one of Victoria's most spectacular waterfalls, yet it remains refreshingly under-visited. Located in the tall forests of the Marysville region, the falls are a short walk from the car park and are floodlit at night, creating a magical atmosphere. The constant mist and roar of water make this a sensory highlight of any trip through the central highlands.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors spend 1–2 hours here, which is enough for the viewing platform, the river walk, and a picnic. If you plan to combine the falls with a meal or a stroll around Marysville, budget half a day. The falls are at their most dramatic after rain, but the walk is short enough to enjoy even in wet weather.
