The Light to Light Walk is a multi-day coastal trek in Ben Boyd National Park, near Eden on the New South Wales Sapphire Coast. This 30-kilometre one-way walk offers a wild and immersive experience, passing through dramatic sea cliffs, secluded beaches, and historic lighthouses. It’s a perfect addition to a Hunter Valley itinerary for travellers seeking a coastal contrast to the wine region.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most walkers allocate two days for the full Light to Light Walk, camping overnight at Bittangabee Bay. If time is limited, you can do a shorter day walk from Green Cape to Saltwater Creek (about 6 km return) for a taste of the coastal scenery. Combine the walk with a visit to Eden’s Killer Whale Museum or a whale-watching cruise for a complete Sapphire Coast experience. The best time to walk is spring or autumn to avoid summer heat and winter storms.
