Dunkeld

Dunkeld is a tiny, off-the-radar hamlet on the NSW Central Coast, where the bush meets the sea in a tangle of scribbly gums and sandstone. It's the kind of place you stumble upon while exploring the quieter corners of the Bouddi National Park – a perfect launchpad for beach walks, birdwatching, and escaping the crowds.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Dunkeld itself is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it settlement, so plan for a half-day to a full day. Most visitors come to walk a section of the Bouddi Coastal Walk – allow 3–4 hours for the full Putty-to-MacMasters stretch, or 1–2 hours for a shorter out-and-back to Gerrin Point. Combine with a swim at Putty Beach and a coffee at the nearby Killcare Café for a relaxed day out.
