The well-maintained path is suitable for moderately fit walkers, and the abundance of lookouts makes it easy to pause and soak in the panorama.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most walkers complete the full one-way journey in 3–4 hours, depending on how many stops you make for photos, swims, and snacks. If you want a leisurely day, allow 5–6 hours to fully explore side trails and enjoy the beaches. Many people opt to do the walk one-way and arrange a car shuffle or use the local bus service – plan your transport in advance. For a shorter outing, the section from Putty Beach to Maitland Bay (about 2 hours return) is a fantastic taster.
