Li Shan
Li Shan, or Pear Mountain, is a serene highland retreat in the heart of Taiwan's central mountain range. Known for its terraced tea plantations, crisp mountain air, and spectacular sea of clouds, this is a place where you can escape the lowland heat and immerse yourself in a landscape that feels both remote and cultivated. The area is a haven for hikers, photographers, and anyone seeking a taste of Taiwan's alpine culture.
Highlights & What to See
- Tea Plantations: Explore the emerald-green terraces that produce some of Taiwan's finest oolongs, especially the prized Lishan tea. Stop by a local tea house for a tasting.
