Suggested Time to Spend
With its compact cluster of peaks, Hehuanshan can be experienced in a day trip from nearby towns like Puli or Cingjing, but to truly appreciate the area and catch a sunrise, plan for at least two days. Spend the first afternoon hiking to Shimen Mountain or the main peak, then stay overnight at the Hehuanshan Cabin or a nearby hostel. Wake early for an East Peak sunrise hike and explore the North Peak or relax before heading back.
