Charlotte Pass is Australia's highest resort village, perched at 1,765 metres in the Snowy Mountains. This serene alpine hamlet offers a true escape from the crowds, with direct access to some of the best ski terrain in New South Wales and spectacular wildflower displays in summer. Its exclusive, car-free village (access is via oversnow transport from Perisher Valley) creates a peaceful, snow-filled atmosphere that feels a world away from everyday life.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Plan for at least 2–3 days to fully appreciate Charlotte Pass. For a ski trip, a long weekend gives you time to explore the varied runs and enjoy the après-ski scene in the village. In summer, a day trip from Jindabyne is possible, but an overnight stay allows you to tackle summit walks at a relaxed pace and soak in the alpine serenity. If you're combining with Perisher or Thredbo, allocate 4–5 days across the region to experience the best of the Snowy Mountains.
