Lake Crescent is a serene freshwater lake on Tasmania's Central Plateau, about 45 minutes' drive west of Launceston. Its mirror-like waters, framed by snow-gums and reed beds, create a tranquil setting perfect for a peaceful escape into nature. The lake is a haven for birdlife, including black swans and migratory ducks, and offers excellent trout fishing in season.
Highlights & What to See
- Lake Crescent Circuit: A 4.5 km walking track that loops around the lake, offering easy terrain and superb views of the water and surrounding mountains.
