Ellery Creek Big Hole

Ellery Creek Big Hole is one of the most beloved swimming holes in the West MacDonnell Ranges, a deep, permanent waterhole framed by towering red cliffs and ghost gums. It’s a quintessential outback oasis, offering a refreshing dip after a hike or drive through the arid landscape. The site is also rich in Arrernte Aboriginal culture, with the waterhole holding significant Dreamtime stories.
