Simpson Gap

Most visitors spend 30–45 minutes here, but if you want to walk the Ghost Gum track and relax by the waterhole, allow 1–1.5 hours. Sunset visits are popular, so plan to arrive around 30 minutes before dusk. It's a quick detour from the road, so you can easily combine it with other West MacDonnell sights in a half-day drive from Alice Springs.
