Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park is a breathtaking landscape of ancient rugged mountains, deep gorges, and vast plains in South Australia, not the Northern Territory. This spectacular park, part of the traditional lands of the Adnyamathanha people, offers some of Australia's most dramatic outback scenery, with iconic landmarks like Wilpena Pound and a rich cultural history dating back tens of thousands of years.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allow at least two to three full days to experience the park's highlights. This gives you time to drive the main gorges, tackle a major hike like St Mary Peak, and enjoy a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound. If you're short on time, a single day will let you see the key viewpoints and do a short walk, but you'll miss the deeper immersion.
