Boggy Hole is a permanent waterhole on the Finke River deep within Finke Gorge National Park, about 130 km west of Alice Springs. This oasis in the red desert is a sacred site for the Arrernte people and a cherished swimming spot for locals and travellers alike. Surrounded by towering red cliffs and ghost gums, the waterhole offers a surreal and refreshing escape from the outback heat. Access is via a 4WD track that follows the dry riverbed, making the journey part of the adventure.
