Ellery Creek Bighole is a stunning natural waterhole nestled in the West MacDonnell Ranges, about 90 kilometres west of Alice Springs. This permanent waterhole, carved into ancient red quartzite, is framed by towering cliffs and ghost gums, creating an oasis in the arid outback. It's a popular spot for cooling off with a swim, picnicking, or simply soaking up the dramatic desert landscape. The area holds deep cultural significance for the Arrernte people, and visitors are encouraged to respect the site.
