Carrington Falls is a stunning cascade plunging 50 metres into a deep gorge within the Budderoo National Park, just a short drive from the NSW South Coast. This natural spectacle is a highlight of the region, offering dramatic views from multiple lookout platforms and a refreshing swimming hole at the top of the falls. It's an ideal stop for a self-drive itinerary exploring the lush rainforest and sandstone escarpments between Sydney and the South Coast.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors spend 1–2 hours at Carrington Falls, which is enough time to walk the lookout loop, enjoy a swim, and have a picnic. If you plan to explore additional trails in Budderoo National Park, such as the longer walks at Nellies Glen or the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre nearby, allow half a day. The falls are best visited in the morning when the light is good for photography and the crowds are thinner.
