Wauchope is a charming country town on the Hastings River, just a short drive from Port Macquarie. Half a day is enough to explore Wauchope’s main street and visit Timbertown, but allow a full day if you plan to include a winery stop or a walk in the nearby national parks. It works well as a lunch stop or a relaxed overnight stay when travelling between Port Macquarie and the hinterland.
