Paddington Markets is a vibrant weekend institution in the heart of Sydney’s Paddington neighbourhood. Held every Saturday since 1973 in the grounds of Paddington Uniting Church, this open-air market is a treasure trove of artisan crafts, vintage clothing, handmade jewellery, and local art. With its boho-chic vibe and community feel, it’s a favourite among Sydneysiders and visitors alike for a leisurely morning of browsing, people-watching, and grabbing a bite from the food stalls.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allocate at least two to three hours to fully soak up the market’s atmosphere. Arrive early (from 9am) to beat the crowds and snag the best finds, then wander through the stalls before grabbing a coffee. The market wraps up around 4pm, so you can easily combine it with a lunch at one of Paddington’s popular cafés or a stroll through nearby Centennial Park.
