Stretching from Manly to Palm Beach, Sydney’s Northern Beaches offer a quintessential Aussie coastal escape, where golden sands, rugged headlands, and laid-back surf culture meet pockets of lush national park. This is where Sydneysiders come to unwind, with world-class waves, scenic coastal walks, and a string of vibrant beachside villages each with its own character.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

To experience the best of the Northern Beaches, allow at least two full days. Spend one day exploring Manly and the coastal walk to Spit Bridge, and another day driving north to Palm Beach, with stops at Dee Why, Curl Curl, and Narrabeen. If you have a third day, dedicate it to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park or a kayak trip on Pittwater. The area is easily doable as a day trip from Sydney, but an overnight stay lets you enjoy sunrise walks and quieter evenings.
