Aim for two full days: use the first to explore the city’s galleries, heritage walk and university; the second for a day trip east along Waterfall Way or into Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. With an extra day, you could venture further into the national park for longer hikes or drive south to the historic gold-rush town of Hillgrove.
