Stretching between Sydney and Newcastle, the Central Coast is a walker's paradise of golden beaches, coastal lagoons, and ancient rainforest gullies. Whether you're chasing dramatic ocean views or tranquil bushland, these trails offer a genuine escape into nature without the crowds of more famous national parks.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

You could easily fill two to three days exploring the Central Coast's best walks. Dedicate one day to the Bouddi Coastal Walk (allow 3–4 hours, plus time for swimming and lunch at a beachside café). A second day could combine the Girrakool Loop and Kariong Brook Falls in the morning, followed by an afternoon on the Wyrrabalong tracks. If you only have a half-day, pick either the Bouddi or Girrakool – both are manageable and offer distinct landscapes.
