Zhanqiao Pier

Zhanqiao Pier is Qingdao's most iconic landmark, a graceful wooden jetty extending into the Yellow Sea. Built in 1892, it offers sweeping sea views and a glimpse into the city's colonial past. The pier's distinctive octagonal Huilan Pavilion at its end is a beloved symbol of Qingdao, framed by the skyline of the old town and the shimmering sea. By day, it buzzes with strolling locals and visitors; by night, it's beautifully lit, creating a romantic atmosphere.
