Queen Street Mall is Brisbane's premier pedestrian thoroughfare, a vibrant open-air shopping and dining precinct that pulses with the city's energy. Lined with heritage buildings, modern arcades, and lush green spaces, it's the perfect introduction to Queensland's capital — a place where locals and travellers mingle over coffee, live music, and alfresco meals. The mall stretches for about 600 metres between George and Edward Streets, offering a diverse mix of international brands, independent boutiques, and buzzing food courts.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors spend 1–2 hours strolling the mall and exploring its arcades, but you could easily while away a half-day if you stop for a meal, coffee, or shopping. For a deeper experience, combine it with a visit to the nearby City Botanic Gardens (10-minute walk) or a river cruise from Eagle Street Pier. The mall is busiest at lunchtime and on weekends; early mornings are quieter for photography.
