Nestled on the Quetrihué Peninsula in Nahuel Huapi Lake, Los Arrayanes National Park is a serene sanctuary of ancient myrtle trees (arrayanes). The park’s cinnamon-colored, smooth-barked forest feels almost otherworldly, with dappled light filtering through twisted branches. Accessible only by boat or foot, this compact reserve rewards visitors with a tranquil, immersive nature experience far from crowds.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Half a day is perfect for Los Arrayanes. Most visitors take a morning or afternoon boat from Villa La Angostura, spend 1–2 hours exploring the boardwalk and short trails, then return. If you’re a keen hiker, combine the boat trip with the 12 km trail that follows the peninsula’s shore, adding 3–4 hours. The park is small, so you won’t need more than a day—pair it with other lake activities for a full itinerary.
