Lake Brunner, the largest lake on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island, is a serene gem surrounded by native bush and rolling farmland. Known locally as Moana, it's a haven for trout fishing, kayaking, and soaking up the tranquil wilderness. The small settlement of Moana at the lake's edge offers a genuine Kiwi experience, with a historic pub and a railway station on the TranzAlpine scenic train route.
