La Palma, known as 'La Isla Bonita' (the Beautiful Island), is a hiker's paradise and a haven for stargazers. This lush, volcanic island in the Canary archipelago offers dramatic landscapes of dense laurisilva forests, towering calderas, and black sand beaches. Its clear skies and light pollution controls make it a UNESCO Starlight Reserve, perfect for astrotourism.
