Kimbe Bay

Kimbe Bay, on the north coast of New Britain in Papua New Guinea, is a world-class diving destination renowned for its extraordinary marine biodiversity. With over 900 species of fish and 400 species of coral, it's often called the 'Coral Triangle's crown jewel'. The bay is also a haven for snorkellers, kayakers, and nature lovers, with lush rainforests and active volcanoes nearby.

Allocate at least 5–7 days to fully experience Kimbe Bay. Divers will want 3–4 days of dedicated diving, with extra time for land excursions and relaxing at the resort. A longer stay allows you to explore multiple dive sites at a comfortable pace and combine with a visit to the nearby volcanoes or the city of Rabaul.
