Glenbrook Valley is a serene, green corridor tucked between the Blue Mountains and the Nepean River, offering a peaceful escape from Sydney's urban buzz. This lush valley is a haven for walkers, cyclists, and anyone craving a dose of nature without the crowds of the upper mountains. With its gentle trails, historic sites, and easy access to both the mountains and the river, it's a perfect day-trip or a quiet base for exploring the region.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

You can comfortably explore the valley's main highlights in half a day. Start with a morning walk to the Knapsack Viaduct and Lapstone Zig Zag (allow 1.5 hours), then head to Glenbrook Gorge for a swim or a picnic lunch (another 1.5 hours). If you're a keen walker, add the Jellybean Track (1 hour) and finish with a lazy hour at the lagoon. For a full-day experience, combine with a drive up to the Blue Mountains (see below).
