Florence Falls is a stunning double-drop waterfall plunging into a pristine plunge pool within Litchfield National Park, about a 90-minute drive south of Darwin. This natural oasis is one of the Top End's most beloved swimming holes, offering a refreshing escape from the tropical heat. The falls cascade over a sandstone escarpment into a deep, clear pool surrounded by monsoon vine forest, making it a picture-perfect spot for a dip and a picnic.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Plan for at least 2–3 hours to fully enjoy Florence Falls. This gives you time to swim, hike the Florence Creek Walk, and relax with a picnic. If you're combining it with other Litchfield highlights like Wangi Falls or Buley Rockhole, a full day in the park is ideal. Arrive early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds, especially on weekends and during school holidays.
