Eden is a picturesque coastal town on the far south coast of New South Wales, known for its stunning natural harbour, rich whaling history, and as a gateway to the Sapphire Coast. With its dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and abundant marine life, Eden offers a serene escape for nature lovers and history buffs alike.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Two to three days is ideal to experience Eden's highlights at a relaxed pace. Spend Day 1 exploring the town, the Killer Whale Museum, and Aslings Beach. Dedicate Day 2 to a whale-watching cruise (in season) and a drive through Ben Boyd National Park to see the Pinnacles and Green Cape. If you have a third day, venture further afield to nearby coastal towns or enjoy kayaking, fishing, and bushwalking. Eden also works well as a one-night stopover on a road trip between Sydney and Melbourne.
