Daintree National Park is a lush, ancient rainforest in Far North Queensland, where the world's oldest tropical rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. This World Heritage-listed wonderland is a must for nature lovers, offering a glimpse into an ecosystem that has thrived for over 135 million years. With its dense canopy, crystal-clear streams, and rich biodiversity, Daintree is a living museum of evolution. As you explore, you'll feel the raw, untamed beauty of Australia's wild north.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Dedicate at least two full days to truly experience Daintree. Spend the first day exploring Mossman Gorge and taking a Daintree River cruise. On the second day, cross the river on the car ferry and head to Cape Tribulation, with stops at Jindalba Boardwalk and Noah Beach. If you have more time, add a third day for deeper rainforest walks or a guided night tour to see nocturnal wildlife. The park is best visited during the dry season (May to October) when trails are less muddy and wildlife is more active.
