Mackenzie Falls

Plunging over 30 metres into a deep, rocky gorge, Mackenzie Falls is one of Victoria's most spectacular waterfalls, located within the Grampians National Park. The constant mist and lush vegetation create a cool, refreshing microclimate — a welcome break on a hot day. The falls are accessible via a well-maintained walking track with several lookout points, and the thunder of the water is a constant companion as you descend.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors spend 1–2 hours at Mackenzie Falls, which allows time for the walk down to the base and back, plus a stop at Fish Falls. If you're keen to explore more of the Grampians, plan for a half-day to combine the falls with nearby lookouts like Boroka Lookout or The Balconies. The best time to visit is in spring or after rain when the water flow is strongest, but the falls are impressive year-round.
