Just a short drive from Darwin, Crocodylus Park is a hands-on wildlife sanctuary that puts you face-to-face with some of Australia's most formidable reptiles. Run by the University of Sydney, this research and conservation facility offers an intimate look at saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, plus a surprising array of other native animals. It's a must for anyone fascinated by prehistoric predators and a great introduction to Top End wildlife.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours to see the main exhibits and catch a feeding show. The park is compact but packed with animals, so you can easily combine it with a morning at nearby Darwin or a stop on the way to Litchfield National Park. Arrive early for the 11am feeding to avoid crowds and heat.
